Almost a hundred years

In Oregon, we ratified the Equal Rights Amendment nearly half a century ago, in 1973. But almost a hundred years after it was introduced, the Equal Rights Amendment still has not been ratified as a nation. A handful of states have blocked equal rights from being enshrined in the US Constitution.

Sign the petition now: demand the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment now.

As Oregon's first woman Attorney General, I understand the struggles that Oregonians – particularly women – have faced. Especially under Donald Trump's lawless and sexist administration.

The concept is not hard: people should receive equal protection of the law regardless of their gender. The Equal Rights Amendment is as American as "apple pie!" And yet, it's been debated and ridiculed, redefined and shot down.

It's about time to offer protection of the law to all people! Sign the petition and demand we ratify the Equal Rights Amendment.
